Mission and Global Outreach
While we are formed and informed through our worship, fellowship, and education, we are defined by our engagement in the world, in the work of ministry both locally and globally. El Salvador Mission Work In the summer of 2008 and 2009, St. Peter’s has been globally involved by sending our missioners to El Salvador under the direction of Foundation Cristosal, an organization that supports the ministry of Episcopal Diocese of El Salvador. While there, our missioners help in rebuilding a church facility that had been in disrepair since the beginning of the country’s civil war in the village of Sitio de Los Nejapas. Millennium Development Goals St. Peter’s participates in a global enterprise known as Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), initiated by the leaders from the United States and 190 other nations and endorsed by the Episcopal Church, by earmarking 1% of its budget. MDGs seek to reduce extreme global poverty in half by year 2015 by achieving the following goals:
