Introducing Other Community Outreach Ministries St. Mary’s Franciscan Shelter What we do with St. Mary's is coordinate St. Peter's scheduled weeks of meal delivery with the congregation. That entails primarily getting volunteers to sign up and deliver meals on the designated days (two weeks during the year). The way that has worked best for us is with in-church announcements, email requests, and directly asking folks in person on Sundays. So far it has run fairly smoothly. Our two weeks for meals this year are April 20-24 and Dec. 28-31. We try to pair two volunteers per meal so the task is not so burdensome (and expensive). Orion Helps finds jobs, legal help, financial help. Woman’s Resource Center School supplies, supplies for families. Soup Kitchen Tue, Thru - 1 meal, 1:30A-1:00P for area residents. Outreach Giving Campaign $300 bimonthly for supporting other community outreach efforts. The Clinic Started as an offshoot of St. Peter’s Outreach ministry in 2001, the Clinic now operates independently serving uninsured and underinsured with low-cost or free medical care. St. Peter’s supports the work of the clinic by providing space, raising money and supplies and offering volunteer help. Currently, two of our members serve in the board.
