Discernment Letter

Dear Parishioner:
This report is presented in a similar format to the original questionnaire. In the first section the number of responses to each question is marked in bold. The Parish Profile Survey section has a front page describing the format.
Please note the following concerning the questionnaire/survey results:

If any section was left blank, it was not counted; no assumptions were made. Only those areas checked/marked were included.

Essay question responses: Concerns were communicated to the Vestry, and discussed at the October and November meetings. The Vestry will be communicating to parishioners under separate mailing.
- The second portion of the questionnaire called Parish Profile Survey is required by the Diocese to determine the leadership skills and qualities that you want in a new rector, with additional questions to learn more about where we see our parish now and in the future. Interested clergy will complete a similar survey and their responses will go into the national database to provide a list of comparable candidates for the discernment committee to interview.
Our next step is to prepare the Parish Profile that will include our history, our ministries, our strengths and challenges as well as our vision for St. Peter's in the future. We are targeting for the Parish Profile to be sent to Bishop Bennison for his review by December 15, 2004.
